The University of Balamand (UOB; Arabic: جامعة البلمند) is a private institution whose policies and educational methods are secular. It welcomes faculty, students, and staff from all faiths and nationalities or races. The university is located in the northern region of Erqura, Lebanon. It was founded in 1988 by Antioch Orthodox Patriarch Ignatius IV.
